ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee opened stronger at 307.70/90 to the US dollar in the spot forex market Wednesday stronger from 307.95/108.05 to the dollar a day earlier, dealers said.
The rupee was quoted 307.75/308.00 shortly after opening.
Bond yields were flat ahead of a bill auction later on Wednesday.
A bond maturing on 01.02.2026 was quoted at 10.65/70 Wednesday flat from10.65/70 percent Tuesday.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2027 was quoted at 11.85/90 unchanged from 11.85/95 percent.
A bond maturing on 01.07.2028 was quoted at 12.15/20 from 12.15/22 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.07.2029 was quoted at 12.25/40 from 12.25/40 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 12.25/50 closed at 12.25/45 unchanged from 12.25/55 percent.
A bond maturing on 01.07.2032 12.50/90 closed at 12.60/90 at weaker from 12.50/13.00 percent. (Colombo/Mar6/2024)
