ECONOMYNEXT – The Colombo Stock Exchange was trading down mid-day Monday, CSE data showed.
The All Share Price Index was down 0.36 percent, or 37.86 points, at 10,489.
The S&P SL20 index was up 0.01 percent, or 0.35 points, at 2,982.
Turnover was at 325 million. Market participants said this was largely made up of a John Keells Holdings transaction, and that overall market sentiment was low.
Investors remained cautious ahead of the IMF second tranche announcement, they said.
The top five positive contributors to the ASPI were LOLC Holdings Plc (up at 379.50), Commercial Bank of Ceylon Plc (up at 85.50), Sampath Bank Plc (up at 67.40), Browns Investment Plc (up at 5.00), and Hayleys Plc (up at 75.50). (Colombo/Nov27/2023)
