ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s stock market was up in mid-day trading on Monday, data from the Colombo Stock Exchange showed.
The All Share Price Index was up 0.69 percent, or 74.64 points, at 10,864.51.
The S&P SL20 was up 1.35 percent, or 40.87 points, at 3,072.15.
Turnover was at 261 million, of which a large portion was contributed by the Capital Goods Industry (187 million).
Shares of Melstacrop, Hatton National Bank, LOLC, Commercial Bank, and Ceylon Cold Stores were trading up.
Diversified Melstacorp and its subsidiary Distilleries Company of Sri Lanka had both announced dividends on Friday.
Expolanka, National Development Bank, Asian Hotels and Properties, Laughs and Kelani Tyres were trading down.(Colombo/Nov6/2023)
