ECONOMYNEXT – The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) has issued the Foreign Air Operator Certificate (FAOC) for Russian Rossiya Airlines to operate specific flights (schedule flights) from Moscow to Colombo.
The certificate issued to a foreign airline to operate in Sri Lanka was presented by CAASL Director General and CEO P A Jayakantha to Nikita Dolgov, Head of Operations and Planning of Rossiya Airlines.
“The airline’s capability to maintain safe and efficient flight operations for the benefit of domestic and foreign passengers alike was assessed by Civil Aviation Inspectors,” the CAASL ‘s Promotions Unit said in a statement on the Department of Government Information website Wednesday (3).
“The CAASL’s Aircraft Ground Operations Division conducted a full assessment of its organizational structure, and its qualified, experienced and properly trained staff, and technical abilities required for operations.”
