A musical journey through Tunbridge Wells

Members of the Tunbridge Wells Operatic and Dramatic Society turned heads and brought smiles to the city on Saturday, October 9. The characters of his new show Destination Anywhere: A Musical Journey, paraded with a huge inflatable globe from the Millennium Clock to the Pantiles.
The brilliantly costumed cast included cowboys, French onion vendors, Spanish dancers, skiers, a pilot and a glamorous flight attendant, delighting shoppers and diners alike enjoying the unusually hot day of October.
Destination Anywhere will be performed at the Assembly Hall Theater from Wednesday November 24 through Saturday November 27. The Musical Travel Diary features numbers from over 40 different West End musicals including Cabaret, The Producers, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Shrek, Mamma Mia, The Lion King, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Copacabana, Footloose, Hairspray , Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Wicked, Six, Come from Away, Miss Saigon and Our House.
In addition to bringing joy to the city’s public since its first musical in 1890, the award-winning company has a long history of supporting and raising charitable causes. Her latest show will support the local Nourish Community food bank.
