Audition THE JUNGLE BOOK – Monday July 11 at 10 a.m.
An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theater production of THE JUNGLE BOOK on Monday, July 11 at 10 a.m. at the Liberty Theater. Those auditioning should arrive at 10 a.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately after the audition.
About 50-60 roles are available for local students. All students, K-12e grade, are encouraged to audition. No prior preparation is necessary. Most students rehearse about 4.5 hours a day, Monday through Friday. Performances are scheduled for Saturday July 16 at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
THE JUNGLE BOOK is part of the Missoula Children’s Theater’s unique international touring project and is presented in Astoria by the Liberty Theater

“Hey! No monkeys around! Join your favorite cast of Jungle Book characters as they attempt to grab a tiger by the tail when the Missoula Children’s Theater and over 50 local students perform THE BOOK OF THE JUNGLE, an original musical adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale.
This production is part of the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s unique international touring project and is presented locally by the Liberty Theatre. Tickets are $5 and are available at libertyastoria.org or at the Liberty Box Office.

In the Missoula Children’s Theater musical adaptation of THE JUNGLE BOOK, Mowgli the Man-Little has all of these adventures and more. Join him as he escapes the Monkey-People, outsmarts a tiger, enlists the help of a rock-python, explores what it means to be human, and learns a lesson from the brave mongoose Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. Original music and lively humor breathe new life into Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale.

Participation cost: Free! Please plan to bring lunches.
Rehearsals: Mon-Fri 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 12:15 p.m.-2 p.m.
