• Heart Fund Dance at Fraternal Order of Eagles #1224 featuring Blue Steel Band from 8 p.m. to midnight, the Eagles’ biggest annual fundraiser for the Auxiliary Heart Fund campaign. Cost $10 at the door; 50/50 draw, raffle, and more.

Darling Hike at Cowan Lake State Park Saturday February 12. Meet at the Nature Center at 2 p.m. for a 1.5 mile hike. Bring your favorite lover to share the beauty of nature together at this annual event. Co-sponsored by Friends Caring for Cowan Lake, who will provide refreshments.

Meatloaf kitchen at the American Legion Post 49, 140 E. Locust St., Wilmington, 6-7:30 p.m. (or until food runs out). Dinner will include meatloaf. green beans, macaroni and cheese and a bun for $6/person. Anyone who submits a meatloaf for judging (one person per meatloaf) will not be charged for their meal. • “Love Letters” starring Amy Yasbeck and Steve Burnette — presented by and marking the debut of The Murphy Stage Company — is a one-night-only fundraiser performance at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 12 at the Murphy Theater.
