With the wide range of workout apps available, your mobile device can serve as a personal trainer in the palm of your hand, but it’s hard to choose from all the options. To make the decision easier, you need to determine your own personal goals. If your goal is to focus primarily on weightlifting, then the JEFIT app may be perfect for you! Learn more about JEFIT and its main features and download the app to try them out.
Weightlifting and inspiration in the JEFIT app
JEFIT is one of the best weightlifting apps where you can easily plan, track and record your workouts. It has an extensive library of exercises and workout plans, all of which you can customize to suit your needs.
The JEFIT app primarily offers strength training and targets users who have bulking, maintaining, or cutting goals. Downloading JEFIT is completely free, but you can upgrade to Elite Membership for a fee. Should you upgrade to JEFIT Elite? Below are the main features to consider before making your decision.
JEFIT Workout Plans
Get rid of that piece of paper with your workout plan that you bring to the gym. The JEFIT app is here to help you record your sets, reps, weight and rest time. Beginner or professional weightlifter, whatever your fitness level, JEFIT offers many training programs.
There are entry-level routines under the My plans tab to help you get started. This is where you can see all your workouts and the current routine you’re busy with. For more advanced workouts, you can browse and scroll through categories like At Home, Body Breakdown, Interval, and more.
Your training program
Each day of the week has its own routine that focuses on a different part of the body. On Monday you could do chest and back, while on Tuesday you could do legs and abs. You can add more days to a chosen routine or create a completely unique workout plan.
Once you’ve chosen a workout, it’s time to start. Right before you start, there’s a breakdown of the exercises you’ll do and the option to add audio cues and guidance. All individual exercises are divided into sets, repetitions and weight in kilograms. When you’re done with a set, press Log set and rest and move on to the next exercise. Unfortunately, tapping your screen multiple times while working out can get a bit awkward. A nice improvement would be that the audio guide counts down the reps, then automatically skips to your rest and the next set.
The JEFIT exercise library
Don’t know how to do an exercise and want to learn? The exercise library on JEFIT is the perfect place to start. Simply choose the body part or muscle you want to work on to find the workout you need.
Tap on the exercise you want to do and watch a demonstration of the move or read the written instructions. Once you know you’re doing the exercise well, feel free to add it to your current workout plan. Additionally, you can filter exercises by equipment, such as if you’re using the app to train at home and only have one kettlebell available.
Perhaps the best part of the JEFIT app is the community aspect. Few workout apps offer a place where members can share motivation, feedback, tips, and workout progress. To join the JEFIT community, press Community to scroll through the posts of other JEFIT users to see their earnings or share their motivation through a comment.
To add someone as a friend, just tap on their profile. Once you’re on someone’s profile, you can track their achievements, progress pictures, and iron points. As a member, you can earn iron points every time you save your training data, share it in the community, etc. The fitness community on JEFIT is really great for those who want an app to find a workout buddy or encouragement to keep going.
Progress and prospects
You can use the Progress tab on JEFIT to keep tabs on how your fitness journey is progressing. Your color-coded calendar can be found under the
Story and this is where you can see any progress photos, notes, or body journals you’ve posted. Also, if you scroll down, you can compare your training streak and weekly points with your friends.
You can see a breakdown of your body’s performance as you train and progress on the Knowledge tongue. You can even track your muscle recovery, body stats, weight lifted, and view muscle analysis. You’ll need to upgrade to Elite Membership to get advanced reporting and the ability to customize your charts.
For those with a competitive streak, why not take part in one of the many JEFIT challenges? Faucet Discover on the app and find the one you like, whether it’s a solo challenge or a group competition. The Beach Body Challenge, for example, requires you to perform a workout that includes 20 sit-ups for at least 18 days a month.
If you complete the challenge, you get a great exclusive badge. However, be sure to keep an eye out for important dates as the challenges are only available for a limited time.
Benefits of Downloading JEFIT
Before downloading JEFIT, you should know that it mainly focuses on strength training and strength training and does not dwell much on other forms of exercise. So, if you’re interested in more cardio-focused workouts, it’s best to look for another exercise app.
Also be aware that most workouts require some sort of exercise equipment, so JEFIT isn’t the most suitable home workout app. If you don’t have equipment, you’ll probably have to stick to using JEFIT at the gym or choose one of the few workout plans based on the equipment you have.
Is it worth upgrading to JEFIT Elite?
A few of the workouts and challenges on JEFIT are only available to paid subscribers, but the free version has all the essential tools for you to create your own workout plan. If you know your way around a gym and have a specific goal, you can benefit from the premium membership’s additional progress monitoring, features and analytics. Overall, the free version of JEFIT has a great selection of available workouts, and you might not need to upgrade to the Elite version.
